Guided by the host, visitors explore the vibrant orange groves, learning about sustainable farming practices and the cultivation of citrus fruits.
The experience goes beyond observation: guests hand-pick ripe oranges from the trees, feeling the texture and inhaling the sweet, zesty aroma of freshly harvested fruit. Afterwards, the group moves to the farm’s kitchen, where, under the guidance of the host, they transform the oranges into homemade marmalade, discovering the techniques and flavors that make this local delicacy so special.
Every step of the visit — from orchard to jar — offers a connection to the land, its produce, and the traditions that have shaped the Algarve’s rural heritage. It’s an engaging, hands-on journey that combines nature, learning, and culinary delight.
